This generation of the Stone Patch was created at the request of my neighbor with a chronic knee injury. She has been using the oval Stone Patch for various injuries, with great success and yesterday requested one that would mold easily over her knee. I had a small casserole dish with a raise in the center that resulted in a thin area in the center that graduated in thickness outward. I was diagnosed with Chari Malformation 1 (Chiari malformations are structural defects in the base of the skull and cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance. When part of the cerebellum extends below the foramen magnum and into the upper spinal canal, it is called a Chiari malformation (CM). Prior to surgery I was having severe headaches from the unequal pressures to my brain, so I put the Patch on my head then put a hat over it. Within ten to fifteen minutes, the pain subsided and I felt normal again and was able to go about my business for the day. After my surgery the headaches returned so I put the Patch back on my head and once again it miraculously worked within about twenty minutes, what a relief! My lower back hurt because of lying in a flat position on the bed for long periods of time post surgery, so I decided to have a family member place the Patch under my lower back and once again within ten to fifteen minutes the pain was gone, therefore I could actually rest and heal.
